The ultimate trend setter

Yeah! You guys read it correctly. Actually, this year's GPAT examination was a little bit unpredictable.

Overall the exam was not a walnut shell but on the very far end, it is also true that most of the students were unaware of this type of pattern.

Actually this year NTA conducted GPAT examination on the same facet of other competitive exams. NTA raised several questions directly from the surface but as the students were unaware of such thing, they used to prepare for the exam very similar to last years pattern.

A very few students get able to reach that point in the exam that they could say it confidently that they would definitely able to overcome such an exam.

Questions were asked from several untouched topics such as Physical chemistry and thermodynamics. Questions from Pharmacognosy were few. Pharmacology also contained some questions from general Anatomy and Physiology. Pharmaceutical chemistry was pretty much decent.

At the last but not the least I would like to say that this years' GPAT exam was a kid play but as we are now not kids 😂😂 so we can't handle it properly.

HIV remission achieved in second patient

A second person has experienced sustained remission from HIV-1 after ceasing treatment, reports a paper led by researchers at UCL and Imperial College London.  The case report, published in Nature and carried out with partners at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, comes ten years after the first such case, known as the ‘Berlin Patient.’ Both patients were treated with stem cell transplants from donors carrying a genetic mutation that prevents expression of an HIV receptor CCR5. The subject of the new study has been in remission for 18 months after his antiretroviral therapy (ARV) was discontinued. The authors say it is too early to say with certainty that he has been cured of HIV, and will continue to monitor his condition. “At the moment the only way to treat HIV is with medications that suppress the virus, which people need to take for their entire lives, posing a particular challenge in developing countries,” said the study’s lead author, Pro...
